Setting boundaries is at the root of self-care.
Unfortunately, setting boundaries is easier said than done; it’s almost like they are taboo, yet boundaries are a crucial component to thriving with endometriosis.
When we learn to set boundaries, we create an opportunity for true self-care. When we set boundaries, we:
- Create limits we get to define
- Protect our body, mind, and heart
- Protect what we want, what we desire
- Create a safe environment for us to grow and learn
- Provide clarity around our needs so we can get the best support possible
- Learn to adjust them when our needs change over time
Boundaries can be set in the doctor’s office, on social media, from our bed, and in all relationships. They take practice, time, and willingness to hold accountability. They are an opportunity to move forward, an opportunity for self-care.
